Getting Robbed While Unemployed & Broke.
HA! They clearly picked the wrong one.
You know what they say – “when it rains it pours!” “bad things come in threes,” “just when you thought things couldn't get worse”..
blah blah.
Whatever they say… THIS SUCKS!
I’m not sure if it is The Law of Attraction doing it’s thing and the already negative mindset continues to manifest bad things…
or WHAT?!
If you don’t know much about me I have been unemployed & saving up, trying to find a way to make all of my travel dreams come true. I have not worked in now 3 months, and have been living & traveling off of what I had saved.
Corporate America isn't for everyone
I had gotten to a point where I was running a little lower than comfortable on funds, especially if I still plan to fulfil my future travel plans without getting another job. It became a daily thought that crowded my mind. I knew I needed more money, but I refuse to do things solely for money. I want everything in my life to be organic and filled with love!

Well ...
One day, I made plans to hang-out with a friend. I hadn’t left the house in quite some time & I’m usually pretty extroverted, so I needed some good ol’ friend time. I went to the store to purchase some beer when my card was declined …
my first thought “ok, I know I’m broke… but I’m not THAT broke!”
I immediately went to my car and checked my bank account. I knew something had to be wrong with the register (it gave another error before inevitably declining). I couldn’t believe what I saw before my eyes. My account said I had a balance of NEGATIVE $226.63. WHAT?! How is this even possible, when I hadn’t left my house in nearly two weeks!?
I noticed the last couple of charges were from a place that I did not recognize ..
for amounts that I would not dare spend at a time like this. GREAT!
My card literally lives in a pouch on the back of my phone .. which rarely leaves my hand (lets be real).
So I realized in that moment I had become a victim of card cloning fraud. I had been robbed!
This kind of thing happens to people all the time. Make sure to contact your bank and dispute the charges.
Either way, it still sucks.
THANK GOD I wasn’t traveling when this happened.
Thank God I had some cash to get the beer.
Thank God! This may have been just the push I needed to find a way to bring in some money.
Soooo..
I am excited to announce that I have now opened up a shop on my website with items from my closet as well as things that I like and find relevant to my brand. I plan to eventually have official Weekend Wanderlust merchandise.
This is the start of something great.
Thank you for reading and following along on my journey.
Your support means everything.
With each purchase, I will include a surprise! ;)
Even when things go bad, there is always a lesson to be learned.
I hate sharing negative energy with you, but this is all a part of my story. Thank you, again, for reading.
